PROLOGUE PREVIEW by Kevin Landis
In the past several months I have increasingly been hearing whispers far and wide about the Prologue Lecture Series. "Have you heard what THEATREWORKS is doing?" "I saw the greatest lecture last night at THEATREWORKS!" "Can you believe who is coming next year?!" It is great to hear, and it strikes me that what makes Prologue so special is YOU. The fact that hundreds of people come to our talks and workshops indicates a subscriber base that is dedicated to art, dedicated to learning, and dedicated to THEATREWORKS.
And we are dedicated to bringing the best theatre artists and scholars we can find to Colorado Springs. Our 2012-2013 season may be our best ever and features an astounding array of luminaries. From Michael Friedman to Sarah Ruhl and professional wrestling's most prolific gadflies, we have something for everyone. And there is a big surprise coming in the Spring. But I can't tell you now. We have to have some suspense!
We start off with a bang in August with UC Berkeley Professor, and nationally renowned Shakespeare scholar, Stephen Booth. You won't want to miss this guy... he gives a fascinating lecture and may know more about Love's Labor's Lost than anyone around. He will talk with us in the tent at Rock Ledge Ranch and have a discussion with Murray Ross, his longtime friend. I can promise it will be a memorable evening.
I look forward to seeing you on August 4th and throughout our stellar season.
